 The Freshwater Pearl Bead Shop offers a range of individual, handmade and designed freshwater pearl jewellery.
The Freshwater Pearl Bead Shop range of jewellery includes stud and hook earrings, bracelets and watches produced with a sterling silver clasp or on a stretchy nylon, and various lengths of necklaces. We only use sterling silver, Swarovski crystals, and freshwater pearls, to create jewellery for you, for your life.
We import a full range of affordable freshwater pearls directly from a pearl farm. Pearls are also available as single units (in packets of 10), for clients who prefer to create and produce their own range of freshwater pearl jewellery. We also prepare gift sets for beading classes, and in addition we place special orders for specific clients, who purchase 100 strands plus per colour, on a wholesale basis.

The Freshwater Pearl Bead Shop started as an idea towards the end of 2005, and at about the same time as Paul and I were getting married. I ordered freshwater pearl jewellery for my bridesmaids, and Paul could not believe the price – he was horrified (of course), and said he was positive he could do better – surely everyone should be able to afford pearls to wear? And that was it.
During the course of 2006 we imported three trial orders of varying quantities, qualities etc. and have evolved into a unique idea. Using only sterling silver, Swarovski crystals, and freshwater pearls, we create jewellery for you, for your life.
Oh, and surprise girls, but Tanya places orders and imports the pearls, works out the pricing etc., while Paul is the producer – Tanya says his big hands make the most beautiful small loops!
